DASMA held its annual meeting in the very pleasant resort area, Marco Island, Florida, January 16th through 18th. Viewed as a highly successful meeting, many outstanding safety issues were approved. DASMA is the association for the door and gate industry in the US and manufacturers and suppliers to the industry meet to discuss the most important issues concerning this group. Safety is a major concern and many of the committees focus in this area.

“These meetings are very important. The attendees are industry experts and together we offer recommendations for improving safety. Members understand the need for safety and work hard, even at a resort, to come to agreeable terms.” Olaf Grobe, Group Vice President of the ASO Group, states. With Mr Grobe was Thomas Polistina, Vice President, ASO Safety Solutions Inc.

New officers were elected at this meeting. Congratulations to Mark Schram as new President. All in all, a most enjoyable and successful gathering. The next meeting will be held in June in Chicago.
